John 3:16

1JO 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” KJV. It is the cleansed vessel that God the Holy Spirit works with to make the Word of God alive and powerful. So take a moment, if necessary, to apply 1JO 1:9 by naming, in silent prayer to God the Father, any known sins you may have committed since you last spoke with God. Then God the Holy Spirit cleanses your soul, and it is prepared for learning God's Word.
